Job Descrition:
Working as part of a growing team, your duties will include effective routing of own vehicles and subcontractors. Key points will include driver retention, subcontractor retention and profits for both subcontractor and own vehicles. The ideal candidate will have ten years plus experience in the industry at planner level, an expert grasp of UK geography, great organisational skills and attention to detail. This is not a beginner role and remuneration will depend on the skills of the candidate.
We are looking for someone to prove themselves in a planning role with a view to further their career in a short time period. Viking is already enjoying exponential growth and the successful candidate would be in a prime position to assist in growth, heading up our container planning team at managerial level with a view to director level mid to long term.
Essentials:
Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
10 years minimum experience as a container planner.
Experience of VBS, Destin8, TOPs.
Port experience at Fxto, LGW, SCT.
A genuine passion for the industry.
